Joe Perry is someone you've probably seen snooker for a while. British snooker players, Perry has spent many seasons at the bottom end of the sport. He has also spent a few seasons at the top of the game. In 2002, he reached the Top 16 for the first time. However, he has spent three seasons outside the top 20.

Joe Perry has been dubbed "the Fen Potter" as well as "the Gentleman". A member of the Cambridgeshire region, he turned professional in 1992 and he has been a full-time professional since 2003. Ken, his brother was also a professional.

He's tried to beat Ronnie O'Sullivan many times over his career. He won 9-5 in the first round at the 2008 UK Championship. He was just one frame away the Masters 2017 Finals, but he lost against Ronnie O'Sullivan.

In the first round, he defeated Mark Selby, the current champion. He also won the Xuzhou Open in 2015. He also has several courses and is a BBC guest commentator.
