The pool movies are a collection of film, television and video games based on the game of pool. These movies feature many different types of action and players. These movies can be serious or funny. But whether you're a newbie or a seasoned pro, there are plenty of great choices.

A lot of the films focus on the human drama. But there are great action scenes. Many pool movies feature trick shots. Trick shots are those special moves that show creativity and mastery in some tough spots. They are usually not seen during a game, but they are very popular in pool movies.

Walter Tevis' classic "The Hustler" is another. Although originally a short story about the movie, it was made into a 1961 classic. The movie's success sparked a revival in billiards, and it has been credited for that.

The Baltimore Bullet and The Color of Money, two other pool movies that are worth mentioning are "The Baltimore Bullet" (above) and "The Color of Money (below). The Baltimore Bullet is a movie about two lazy pool hustlers. They try to create a big game. Allen Hopkins is joined by Jim Rempe, Richie Florence (Pet Margo), and Steve Mizerak ("The Miz")
