He has also been visiting a local billiards club in the Twin Cities every month.
Nguyen Queyet Nguyen is the Vietnamese player who is ranked second and third in billiards. Both are among the top ten players in the world. Both players are currently among the top 8 with Tran Quet Chien being number 7. Both players are the tournament's defending champions. Ngo Dinh Nai is ranked number 29, Jeremy Bury, France is ranked 18.
The next tournament that will be held in Vietnam is the 3-Cushion Carom Billiards Continental Cup which will be held December 20-22 at Seoul. The tournament will see eight top Vietnamese players competing. The prize money total will amount to approximately 160,000 USD. Other events and tournaments will be held throughout year.
The official governing body of carom billiards is the United States Billiard Association (USBA). Each year, the National Championship culminates in a series events organized by The USBA. The USA will represent the USA at Pan-American Championship as the National Championship's top two players.
The three cushion billiards tournaments held at the Madison 3-Cushion Billiards Club were very competitive and well-contested. Two flights of six players each were fielded in the tournament. The tournament was handicapped. Only the top five players in each flight progressed to the semis. The top 12 players will receive $7,400. Bruce Venzke (the cue game legend) was the tournament director.

The semi-finals will be decided by the top two teams, and the quarterfinals will be decided by the fourth and fifth teams. The final round of the tournament will be single elimination. The cash prize for the Las Vegas World Cup 3-cushion Billiards Tournament is $20,000. The semi-finals will be the first time that a Vietnamese representative has been sent to Las Vegas World Cup 3-cushion billiards tournament.
3-Cushion Billiards Tournament might be new, but it has grown in popularity throughout the world. It was also featured in the animated Disney short film Donald In Mathmagic Land. In addition, it was featured in the 2007 Goya Award-winning Spanish film Seven Billiard Tables.
